In the Vim editor, there are several common methods to delete all lines:
1. In Command Mode¶
First, press gg to jump to the beginning of the file, then enter dG to delete all content.
gg: Positions the cursor at the first line.dG: Deletes from the current line to the end of the file.
2. Using Range Deletion¶
In command mode, directly enter :%d and press Enter to delete all lines.
%indicates the range is the entire file.dis the delete command.
After performing these operations, the entire file content will be cleared. If the file has unsaved changes, Vim will prompt you to save changes when exiting.
